10/18/2010.  With a collection of philatelic postcards, Cuban Adrian Fernandez got the first prize in the junior competition of an exhibit in Portugal which is the biggest this year in that European country. Fernandez is the youngest expositor awarded in the world since 2006, and he received the unanimous vote of the judges because of his exceptional research for his collection, said the Cuban Philatelic Federation in a communiqué.

10/18/2010.  With a collection of philatelic postcards, Cuban Adrian Fernandez got the first prize in the junior competition of an exhibit in Portugal which is the biggest this year in that European country.

Fernandez is the youngest expositor awarded in the world since 2006, and he received the unanimous vote of the judges because of his exceptional research for his collection, said the Cuban Philatelic Federation in a communiqué.

The exhibit was for the 100th anniversary of the Portuguese Republic, opened on October 1st with the exhibit of 3,000 collections from 85 countries.

Cuban Adrian Narco was also awarded in the exhibit, becoming the first Cuban competitor receiving such an international recognition for his work with gold and silver, with a thematic collection.

In the senior contest, Jose Ignacio Abreu got a gold medal for his work "Prefilatelia Cubana" while Joe Ramon Mallon and Pedro Intento got other medals.
