ROME (AP) -- Brazil will play for a third consecutive men's volleyball world championship against Cuba after beating host Italy in the semifinals Saturday.

Brazil won 25-15, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17 in its bid to become the second team to win three world titles.

Italy won three straight crowns in 1990, 1994 and 1998.

A victory in Sunday's final would add to a remarkable run for Brazil. As well as the 2002 and 2006 world titles, the South Americans won the Olympic gold in 2004 and silver in 2008.

Cuba defeated Serbia 22-25, 25-17, 31-29, 22-25, 16-14 in a marathon that lasted 1 hour, 50 minutes.
