The Cuban male volleyball team beat Mexico Friday in three sets, during the second round of the World Volleyball Championship being celebrated in several Italian cities.

In Milan, Italy, the Cuban team won by sets of 25-17, 27-25 and 25-15 after an hour and 10 minutes.

Cuban athlete Yoandy Leal headed the Cuban attack, with 16 points, 11 of them in attack, while Jesus Rangel was the best for Mexico, with 8.

After this result, Cuba practically ensures its presence in the following stage of the event since Mexico should beat the team of Serbia, which beat Cuba Thursday.
