09/21/2010. Chico Buarque, one of the most famous poets and musicians of Brazil, joined the initiative launched in the U.S. by prominent personalities from all over the world.

Sources close to the promoters of the initiative valued the support received in the last hours of well-known figures from the African American intellectual community such as the award-winning novelist Alice Walker and poet and playwright Amiri Baraka (Leroy Jones), as well as the adhesions from the other side of the Atlantic of Hungarian-born philosopher Istvan Meszaros, the Belgian sociologists Armand and Michelle Mattelart, and the Italian singer Luca Barbarossa.
