09/18/2010. Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt said to Australian press that he may retire after the London Olympic Games in 2012.

He said he will participate in the Olympics and after that he will decide what to do. He also said his coach wants him to compete in other Olympics, but they will decide together how he will retire because he wants to do it from the top.

Bolt talked about North American Michael Johnson, who he asked why he retired. Johnson answered he did everything he wanted to and he had no reason to continue because he was on the top. Bolt said that if he is on top he may retire.

The three times world record holder, world and Olympic champion in 100m, 200m and 4x 400 m relay also talked about the possibility of competing in other disciplines such as 400m and long jump.

Bolt, 24, reiterated his hope that Jamaica continues dominating sprint events worldwide.

He said that any athlete from Jamaica who decides to go to AAF World Championships Daegu 2011 in South Korea will be good as well.

Jamaican sprinters have displaced those from the U.S. in the top positions of short races during the past few years.
