A new currency exchange mechanism created by the ALBA trade and integration agreement is now available to privately-owned companies in ALBA member countries, Venezuelan news agency AVN reported.

Eudomar Tovar, president of the regional monetary council of the Sistema Unitario de Compensación Regional de Pagos (Sucre),  said that privately-owned “small and medium-size” companies in Venezuela will soon have the option of using the Sucre virtual currency in their exports within the ALBA bloc.
