Cuba, where tourism is one of the main sources of income, received 1.4 million vacationers in the first half of the year, up 1 percent over the same period last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Surpassed only by Mexico, Russia has become the fastest growing tourism market in Cuba in the first half of this year, according to the "International visitor arrivals" publication.
