Cuba Family Day at Katonah Museum of Art

Cuba Family Day will be held at the Katonah Museum of Art on Sunday, Aug. 8, from 1 to 4. Guests will include children’s illustrator Edel Rodriguez and professional dancer Desiree Sanchez Meineck.
Family Day is free for museum members and $5 for individual non-members (three years and older).
The museum will be “bustling with Cuban-themed fun,” including hands-on art projects and gallery activities, throughout the afternoon.
At 1:30, meet Mr. Rodriguez, who will read from his books Mama Does the Mambo, Oye, Celia! A Song for Celia Cruz, and Sergio Saves the Game! A book signing will follow. Ms. Sanchez Meineck, a professional dancer who has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, will lead a salsa dancing lesson at 2:30.
