The text `Material to learn Spanish', written by Abrhan Talargie, an Ethiopian trained in Cuba, was launched in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, and is the result of a joint activity developed by the Cuban government and people, reported the AIN.

This activity was a time for fond memories and positive statements in support of what Cuba means for the professional training of thousands of Ethiopians, reports the digital site of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Attending the presentation were members of the staff of the Cuban Embassy in Ethiopia and those responsible for the medical and educational cooperation, and citizens of that African nation in solidarity with the Island.

Omar Leyva, the Charge d'Affaires, in his opening remarks reminded the author of the text, an Industrial Engineering professional, is just one example of about 35,000 graduates of the African continent who have been trained in Cuba.

This volume, which reflects on its cover the image of José Martí, the Cuban National Hero, and the Cuban flag, is the first of its kind to be produced in the sub-Saharan African nation and pursues a novel way to transfer the knowledge of Spanish for those who speak Amharic, the official Ethiopian language.
