HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (acn) Ahmed Ben Said Jaffar, Minister for Foreign Relations, Cooperation, Diaspora, Francophonie and the Arab World of the Union of the Comoros, ratified his country's willingness to increase its bonds of cooperation with Cuba.

While meeting with Cuban ambassador Ernesto Gomez in Moroni, the capital of that archipelago of the Indian Ocean, the FM expressed his satisfaction for the good state of bilateral relations, and acknowledged the existing potential to continue expanding these bonds.

The Foreign Minister form the Comoros reiterated his country's support for the Caribbean island in its demand for the lifting of the unfair US blockade and expressed his willingness to increase bilateral cooperation in the various international forums.

The Cuban diplomat, with residence in Tanzania, fulfilled a work schedule in this archipelago of the Indian Ocean, which included meetings with the President of the Union of the Comoros, Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi, and other authorities.
