The Fifth National Internal Control Test, organized by the Comptroller General of the Republic, began Tuesday and for one month 742 business and services institutions, both national and local, will be audited.

This was reported to the press by Gladys Bejerano, vice president of the Council of State and Comptroller General, who stressed that the figure includes 20% of all enterprises and units of the country and includes a sample of all sectors, areas
and economic, production and services activities.

She explained that 3,895 professionals, technicians and students from related faculties are involved in this exercise which will assess the state of control, where are the problems and their causes, in addition to individual assessment of the entity, reaching a national assessment of this key activity in economic and administrative efficiency.

The Comptroller General clarified that the selected centers did not correspond to complaints or evidence of any irregularity,

nor were they previously warned, but a random sample which sought greater representation. She paid particular importance to the participation of workers in this exercise.
