Cuban Dayron Robles, Olympic Champion and world recordman in the 110 hurdle meters, will be the main attraction from Latin America in the tournament at Ostrava, Czech Republic, coming May 27.

The information given to know Wednesday in the digital version of the International Association of Athletics Federations, initials in English) stated that together with Robles --his world record is of 12.87 seconds, implanted in June 12, 2008--, there will also be the Jamaican famous sprinters Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell.

Bolt, three-time Olympic Champion and world record holder in 100 (9.58 seconds) and in 200 meters (19.19 seconds), will make his 2010 debut in the 300 meters as part of his preparation for the outdoors season, in which will participate in the next 2010 Diamond League.

Powell, world and Olympic medalist several times, will run the 100 meters, a distance in which he imposed his first world record with 9.77 in Athens, Greece in 2005.

Two years later he achieved 9.74 to improve his previous record, but in 2008 he broke it again, with 9.72.

"Up to now I am training well, I have not had any injury; my objectives are to have a healthy season and run faster than ever," said the Jamaican sprinter.

According to the organizers, mentioned in the IAAF page, among the female stars that will participate in the 100 flat meters, there will be Laverne Jones-Ferrette, World Champion in the 60 flat meters, who will be competing against Jamaican Sherone Simpson, 100-flat meter Olympic runner-up.

Both female runners want to break the 100 mts record for the event in Ostrava settled by Bulgarian Ivet Lalova in 2005.
