The Company Investigation and Hydraulic Projects in Santiago de Cuba, became the first company of the National Hydraulic Resources given the Certificate of its Integrated Management System, which fulfills the requirements settled in the Cuban ISO Standards.

The previous certifications of the Quality Management System by the NC- ISO 9001:2008, the System Safety and Health at Work by the NC-ISO 14001:2004, and the System of Environmental Management by the NC ISO 18001:2005, supplements the Certificate of the Integrated Management System given by the Standardization National Office, ruling these organizations in the country, based on the evidences showed to a team of graded and experienced auditors.

More than 700,000 thousand quality systems are based on the ISO 9000 Standards. These Standards have been introduced in all kind of organizations in the world, proving the high effectiveness of these systems and the trust that clients and other interested companies have on them.

In Cuba,  569 establishments are registered. Concerning Santiago de Cuba’s province, the Company of Investigations and Hydraulic Projects is the second entity that obtains the certification of its Integrated Management System, which corresponds with the objectives proposed in the program of quality rising till the end of the 2009.

According to Idalmis Arguello Mercaderes, Engineer and Director of the Company of Investigations and Hydraulic Projects in Santiago de Cuba, although it is not its only field of actions, aims to provide services of research and design to hydraulic works.

This Company has worked outside Cuba in countries like Honduras with the mini-hydro projects; in irrigation water systems in Venezuela and in the building of water supplies systems in Pakistan.
