First International Workshop of Engraving Graphic-K underway at Santiago de Cuba city

Santiago de Cuba hosts the event until December 31 to publicize the various techniques of printmaking and revitalize the learning of this demonstration in teaching art in the territory.
Under the auspices of the Office of Keeper of the City, they call to the event the Cultural Workshop Luis Diaz Oduardo and the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts Jose Joaquin Tejada.
In the first edition of the meeting are involved artists from Canada and Cuba, which will convene a wider international participation in the future, specialist workshop Gretchen Laborde, said.
The group exhibition A Propósito de una Cita, opens the encounter with works of Santiago de Cuba`s engravers in the Gallery of the Cultural Workshop institution that encourages experimentation in the field of visual arts and brings together artists,
critics and researchers.
The engraving, ancient artwork is achieved through a printing technique that transfers an image drawn by pressure with sharp instruments or chemical processes on a rigid surface to another surface such as paper or cloth.
