Summit on Food Security in Rome

Cuba is participating in a United Nations Summit on Food Security that began today in Rome, Italy. The Caribbean delegation to the meeting is headed by Ulises Rosales del Toro, Vice President of the Council of Ministers.
The summit will take place through Wednesday and it was called by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Granma newspaper reports.
One of the main goals of the meeting is to find alternatives to face today’s complex world situation and to fight hunger and food insecurity.
