Belgian movie in Havana
These films can be seen at Chaplin movie, Cuba’s Cinemateca, as part of the week celebration of the Belgian Culture in Havana.
For the opening cycle which will be until next November 14 the film “Formidable” was chosen produced by Dominique Standaert in 2007.
The sample includes the long film Steve + Sky (2004), by Félix van Groeningen, based on a story of a prostitute and a drug seller awarded with the prize Joseph Plateau to the best Belgian film and best composer of the year.
Eight short films from Valonia will be exhibited and three from Flanders.
The Belgian Culture Week in Havana began its activities on Friday with a wide art program: plastics, photography and comic strips regarded as an intangible heritage from this European nation.
