Sol Melia Cuba is interested in the South American market.

Presentations are being made in three Argentinean cities and a participation in the International Tourism Trade Fair is going to take place next Saturday.

Argentina, as well as Chile and Uruguay are important markets for us as many tourists from those countries stay at our hotels, the company's promotion manager Amaury Escalona told Prensa Latina .

In this opportunity, we will present Sol Melia products portfolio in Bahía Blanca (Buenos Aires), Rosario (Santa Fe) and in the capital, he explained

According to Escalona, "we are stressing our products specialization on honeymoons, golf, spa, groups, events and incentive trips, as well as our beach hotels in Cayo Largo, Cayo Santa María, Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo".

Besides presentations for sale agents, there will also be meetings with turoperators to reward those who had made a great effort to keep tourists flow high.

Escalona said that until September, Argentinean staying in Sol Melia Cuba hotels rose 5 percent compared to the same period in 2008 and achieved almost 278.000 overnight stays.

Although Uruguay has lower numbers because it is a new market, its stays rose by 25.29 percent, that is why it deserved a special prize.

FIT 2009 will begin officially next Saturday in La Rural, Buenos Aires building, where there will be 1.800 exhibitors from 50 countries until Tuesday 17, said organizers.

Cuba seeks to strengthen ties with these south countries in other branches as well.
