More than  30 nations have ratified their assistance to the 3rd International Convention of Physical Activities and Sports (AFIDE) to be held in this capital from November 9th to the 13th.

At the event, which will be held at the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences and at the Conventions Palace, both in this capital, some 187 papers will be introduced related to different aspects of the physical activity and sports.

The Convention will then become a great opportunity to exchange knowledge, to promote and spread the results of researches done in the applied sciences to sports field, for the sustainable improvement of life quality.

This AFIDE edition will include in its program several other events related to the teaching of sports and the training of professionals.

Renowned Cuban specialists like Rodrigo Álvarez Cambra, Aldo Pérez, José Cedeño and Tania García, will deliver keynote speeches.

Among the foreign specialists stand out Canadians Clara Fitzgerald and Darwin Semiotic, along Danish Paavo Comí and Italian Diego Polani, among others.

Luis del Toro, member of the AFIDE Organizing Committee, told ACN that the number of countries participating in this event can increase because many of those who showed their interest have not registered as of yet.

The previous two AFIDE events took place in Havana as well in 2005 and 2007.
