Cuba's Dayron Robles, the 110 metres hurdles world record holder and Olympic champion, will compete in London for the first time at next week's Crystal Palace grand prix, UK Athletics said on Thursday.

"I am really happy with how my season is going, so far I am undefeated in five races and am looking to take this form to London and then of course on to the world championships in Berlin where I would like to win a gold medal," the 22-year-old Robles said in a statement.

Robles, who is unbeaten in five races, will be up against Americans David Payne and David Oliver who took silver and bronze behind him in Beijing last year.

"My main rival is myself but of course with the other big names due to line up against me, I will have extra motivation to put in a good performance for the London crowd," he added.

American Lolo Jones, who blew a likely gold medal at the Olympics last year when she clipped the final hurdle, has confirmed she will run in the women's 100 metres hurdles in the London event on July 24 and 25.
