Las Tunas, Cuba, Will Celebrate 42nd Cucalambeana Folkloric Party
Quiala and to the poet Pablo Armando Fernandez, will be held in this city from June 29 to July 5, as homage to the 180th birthday anniversary of Juan Cristobal Napoles Fajardo, El Cucalambe.

With guests from 10 countries and more than 460 artists, personalities and peasant farmers, the party will also pay homage to the Mexican state of Quereraro.

The agenda include among the main activities the Ibero-American competition on Written Ten-line Stanza Cucalambe and that of Improvisation Justo Vega, as well as the 12th Ibero-American Colloquy on this genre of poetry.

The doctor Maria Teresa Linares and the writer Virgilio Lopez Lemus will lecture on the topic The Iberian Trace in the Traditional Cultures of Latin America.

The festivity will also count on presentations of books, publications and audiovisual pieces. In addition there will be an interactive forum on the rural traditions and the media.

The National Exhibition Hall on Landscape, the Ilustrated Ten-line Stanza, Craft and Photographs will be opened to the public.

The children could also enjoy dances and music together with the selection of La Flor de Virama, girl who symbolizes of the beauty of the Cuban rural woman.
