According to experts, NOVALUM has contributed to Cuban authorities' efforts to reduce imports to meet the growing demand from the domestic market.

The company, which makes the containers used to carry milk from the farms to the processing plants, is expected to produce 30,000 such containers this year, saving one million dollars to the national economy, experts pointed out.

In addition, NOVALUM produces more than 500 items of aluminum, including kitchen utensils (frying pans, saucepans, skimmers and pots, among others) and cigar cases.

Last year, NOVALUM's sales totaled nine million pesos. That amount is expected to increase this year.
