Páez, permanent professor at the University of Holguín, has just ended a five-month period as advisor in Belize, while González will continue hers there until June. Other Cuban specialists will join the project in September.
For her part, González said that the program, scheduled to end in 2010, has contributed to strengthening cooperation between the two nations in the field of education.
The Cuban advisory service on Spanish teaching was one of the agreements of the 3rd Suriname-Cuba Joint Commission held in Paramaribo on February 28 and 29, 2008. The next joint commission meeting will be held in Havana in May.
