Low Voltage Areas Reduced in Central Cuba
Osnmany Dueñas, from the Electric Company in Santa Clara, reported that 27 kilometres of primary lines and 50 of secondary ones were substituted along 1,200 poles and over 6,200 line connections.

The work included the placing of new primary, secondary and 33 kilowatt lines to increase voltage, necessary for the efficient usage by electrical appliances distributed by the government to save energy.

These brigades from different Cuban provinces are making efforts to improve the service in the province's main municipality and in highly populated neighbourhoods where there are industries and education centers.

These joint efforts are scheduled to last till next April, and after that the province's forces will continue their work to completely eliminate low voltage areas in the province.
