Jorge Luis Fernandez, Habanos S.A. marketing director, pointed out at a press conference in Melia Habana Hotel, that throughout its history, this Festival has become the spokesman for the excellence and quality of the Cuban made cigars.

Fernandez explained that the cigar bands Tagle, Regata, Master and Junior from the Montecristo brand, made with leaves from the Vuelta Abajo meadow, will be presented in this Festival to be the main attraction on the welcoming day at the Karl Marx Theater.

He also pointed out that Robustos-T will be the first product from the Trinidad cigar band to be in aluminium cases, and its launching is scheduled for next Wednesday in the "Embajadores" Hall at the Habana Libre Tryp Hotel, and added that the Cohiba Gran Reserva will do the same at the closing day in Pabexbo showroom.

The Cuban executive said that this Gran Reserva is dedicated to the world's most prestigious cigar brand, the Cohiba, and to its emblematic Siglo VI, a product made with the best Cuban tobacco leaves, aged through a long and careful five year process.

He added that over 1000 delegates from 70 countries will be coming, including famous US actor Peter Coyote, to this Festival, the most important showcase in the world for the best Premium cigars (hand-made).
