The Broken Gods is a film proposal that shows and onfronts tabooes, a history that investigates the famous Cuban pimp Alberto Yarini and Ponce de Leon, murdered by bullets of their French rivals who controlled the business of the prostitution in Havana at the beginnings of the 20th century.

The main characters Silvia Avila, Carlos Ever Fonseca, Hector Noas Annia Bu Maure, Isabel Santos, among others, give the film an excellent performance. So it has received the prizes of the Public, of the Film Critic and of the Cuban Cultural Critic in the thirtieth Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Havana.

This tape, a plot of confronted values, a reflection around the ethical and moral perspective of a group of characters of all the sociocultural levels, will be shown in all the cinemas, the university centers, military units, and video rooms of the eight municipalities of Las Tunas.

This winning film in the Cinema Festival of Gibara 2008 will be among the main film options for the inhabitants of Las Tunas until next March 4th.
