The Cuban National Association for the Blind (ANCI) has organized hundreds of literary workshops across the island in which about 800 blind people have been involved.
Cuba´s developments in the field are the result of the government´s efforts to increase the educational level of the blind, which includes the creation of libraries and reading rooms for the blind, the provision of Braille printers and the formation of a movement of blind enthusiasts supported by ANCI and the Ministry of Culture.
