Wetangula held talks Friday with Cuban Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, who thanked the gesture as Kenya joins the countries that help Cuba recover from losses estimated in $10 billion.

Both officials reviewed the state of bilateral ties and reaffirmed interest in enhancing and bracing bilateral ties and collaboration.

The official release says the meeting that versed on regional and international affairs unfolded in a friendly environment.

Wetangula was invited by Cuban peer Felipe Perez Roque and led Kenya's delegation to the 4th Cuba-Kenya Joint Commission.

The Kenyan delegation honored Thursday the Cuban internationalist combatants fallen in the struggle for Africa's independence.
