Cuba Tobacco Campaign to End with Success
Brigades of farmers from other regions of the island have been supporting since three months ago the farming in the fields to rehabilitate about 7,000 of those houses hit by hurricanes Ike and Gustav in August and September.

More than 4,000 tobacco houses have been repaired to date, and the intention is to conclude the mission of restoring them all before February 28, the director of that sector Enrique Cruz told media.

While in the famous fertile valleys of Vueltabajo, as this area is also known, farm workers speed up the sowing season of the plant to end with that task in the coming days, when 18,697 hectares of area will be planted.
