Documentaries, fiction films, video clips and cartoons will be exhibited during the event. The motion pictures in competition will be screened at the San Juan de Dios Square.

A series of conferences and film exhibitions will be held parallel to the contest.

Participants include directors from local TV stations and educational centers, such as the International Cinema and Television School in San Antonio de los Baños (Havana), and independent moviemakers.

According to experts, the festival is one of the most important events of its kind in Cuba.
