Guillermo Artiles, president from the National Council of these entities, pointed out that they have favoured democracy and updating of culture within the communities as well as the preservation of its truest values.

He pointed out that we are talking about indispensable institutions for the increase in the quality of life of the population, to boost the appreciation of art and culture, and to continue the movement of amateur artists, a field of personal realization for thousands of persons all over the country.

He also praised the new wave of art instructors, who with their youth and their wish to transform reality, represent a stimulus to the noble cultural work, mainly directed towards children and young people, but which includes people from all ages.

He also mentioned the work of the Adagio editorial house, destined to the professional formation of art instructors and the presentation of the best traditions, which since the year 2002 has published 106 titles from famous Cuban authors.
