Las Tunas Cuba Makes Additional Contribution to Cuban Economy and Society
The production of constructive elements starting from about 127, 000 electrical appliances, that were substituted in the county of Las Tunas, as part of the Energy Revolution, constitutes an additional contribution of that program to the economic and social well-being of the Cubans.

Refrigerators, airconditioning, electric burners, fans and television sets are classified and dismantled to become source of diverse raw material, among them scrap, main resource used by the Company of Stainless Steels (ACINOX) of Las Tunas to produce iron bars, elements that are essential in the construction of housings, schools, hospitals, factories, and other facilities.

These electrical appliances also provide copper, aluminum, other metals and plastics, materials with which Cuba substitutes imports and increases its exportable items.
