Cuba Replacing Agriculture Imports
The president of the Mountain Agriculture Business Group (GEAM), Carlos Hernandez Shediak, explained that a lumber plant in west Cuba is being modernized to begin producing about 30,000 electricity poles next year, allowing to replace imports.

GEAM, in charge of the production of coffee, cocoa, henequen, wood, and honey hopes to meet the internal demand and increase export levels.

Shediak said the joint effort of workers has made possible a noticeable recovery in those spheres, after the damage caused by recent hurricanes.
