Trinidad and Tobago Offers to Cuba One Million Dollars for Recovery
During the symbolic delivery of the aid at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Trinitarian Ambassador to Havana Lester Efebo Wilkinson said his country has closely followed the situation in Cuba. He praised the organization and discipline maintained by the Cuban people and said the response from his government could only be one of solidarity, reported Granma newspaper.

“We are very proud to offer this small contribution to a nation that is an example for the entire Caribbean,” said Wilkinson.

For his part, Perez Roque thanked the official for the donation, which will add to the funds allocated for the recovery efforts.

“This is a gesture that our people will not forget. The help from Trinidad and Tobago has a special value, not only in the amount, but in the fraternal feeling with which it was donated,” said Perez Roque.
