The program also included the Divertimento for chords by Piort Ilich Chaikovsky, the music of the Ballet Theme and Variations, choreography by George Balanchín created especially for Alicia Alonso and Igor Yuskeschiv.
The concert ended with the music of the Dioné Ballet, created by Professor Eduardo Sánchez de Fuentes, with choreography by George Milenoff, and the symphony Noche de los trópicos (Night of the Tropics), by Louis Moreau Gottschalk, whose second movement is used in the Ballet by Alicia Alonso Gottschalk’s Symphony.
During the celebration of the XXI Havana International Ballet Festival from October 28 to November 6 in this capital, the National Symphonic Orchestra will also pay a tribute to the famous Cuban company during the premiere of the new production of Sleeping Beauty.
