Cuban writer and dramatist Nicolas Dorr to launch first novel in Cuba
According to his publisher, Julio Cesar Garcia, the main characters always draw up frustrated goals.

Dorr recourses to the traditional elements of his work, Garcia said in a dialogue with media, as the use of burlesque and absurdity, tragic and comedy in extreme situations and humor to solve conflicts.

As creator of more than 20 theater plays, including "Yo Tengo un Brillante" (I have a Gem) (1978), "Una Casa Colonial" (A Colonial House) (1981), and "Confesion en el Barrio Chino" (Confession in Chinatown) (1984), his works have been adapted for the stage in Europe and Latin America.

Dorr, permanent Professor of the Audio-visual Communication faculty of the Higher Institute of Art, has published essays and articles on theater and cinematographic drama.

The book, published by Union publishing house, will be on sale at the headquarters of the Cuban Book Institute.
