Other athletes that shined at the Birds Nest Stadium in the Chinese capital are participating in the world class tournament. These include world record sprinter Usain Bolt, Russia’s Yelena Isinbaeva, Ethiopian long distance runner Kenenisa Bekele, javelin thrower Andreas Thorkildsen of Norway, the surprising triple jumper Tia Hellebaut of Belgium, and Beijing winner in the women’s 400 meters, La Shawn Merritt.

Two other top athletes present for the competition at the Letzigrund Stadium are 800 meter young sensation Pamela Jelimo from Kenia and high jumper Blanca Vlasic of Croatia.

Robles has recorded times under 13 seconds five times, including his world record of 12.87. After Zurich he will attend other competitions in Europe, such as the Super Gran Prix of Lausanne on September 2 and the Grand World Finale of Athletics on September 13-14 in Stuttgart, Germany.
