Thirty five Cuban Sports Experts Representing Foreign Countries in the Olympics
These experts —most of them as boxing trainers— are participating in the 29th Olympic Games as part of delegations from 14 countries. Others are engaged in taekwondo, shooting, fencing, volleyball and weightlifting. Physiotherapists can also be found.

The Olympics will be once again the opportunity for Cuba to sign new agreements with Olympic Committees from different regions of the world.

The head of Mexico’s National Sport Commission, Carlos Hermosillo, told Granma on Friday that he is planning to visit Havana this September.

Cuba will begin competing Saturday in judo, fencing, boxing, rowing, shooting, archery, volleyball and beach volleyball.

Pedro Cabrera, press secretary for the Cuban delegation, said athletes Elier Sanchez and Miguel Lahera had already arrived in Beijing in a change requested by the management of the national baseball team.
