In fact this possibility has already been materialized in a moment when we are faced with the high prices of foodstuffs in the international market and the intensification of the US blockade on the island.

Other local goods are also being evaluated for their commercialization in foreign currency within the country, while several other ways of commerce are analyzed as possible  investments.

The Cuban strategy of substituting imported goods by local quality productions demands more understanding between the clients and the producers as well as the optimum use of the industrial facilities.

Other aspects to be taken into consideration are the financial support to promote other important investments, the planning procedures being applied and the certification of the quality management system, among other activities to foster competitiveness.
