Havana Carnival in Honors of the Revolution
Important figures of the arts, including folklore artists, members of the Cuban School of Wushu, dance groups of the Cuban-Arab Association, and a representation of the mambises, rebel cavalry of the 19th century Cuban uprising, will parade in the emblematic Malecon (seafront), where citizens will enjoy the carnival from August 1 to 10.

This year´s festivities will also pay tribute to three dancing groups, El Alacran (The Scorpion) and Componedores de Batea (Shallow pan fixers) celebrating their 100th anniversaries, La Jardinera (The gardener) for its 70th anniversary. Foreign artists will be representing the carnivals of Veracruz, Mexico; Cadiz, Spain, and the Conga Santiaguera of Tenerife carnival, also in Spain.
