The general director of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), Jacques Diouf, will arrive in Cuba on Sunday at the invitation of the island's government.

During his stay, which will end on July 22, Diouf will meet with State leaders and will learn about Cuba's programs in several fields related to FAO's work.

FAO is collaborating with the Cuban government to guarantee food security and to develop major sectors such as agriculture, fishing and forestry.
