Cuba Revitalizing Dairy Production of Milk
This volume includes deliveries made by the ministries of Sugar and Agriculture, as well as from private producers, who supplied 60 percent of all milk sold to the government, reported the Granma newspaper on Thursday.

Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture gathered in Havana reported that though the results are encouraging, they are still far from the volumes achieved in past decades.

The direct sale of milk in local markets is now occurring in 89 of the country’s 169 municipalities, an action that has improved the supply to consumers and saves resources for the country.
