Mexican Embassy to Havana Cultural Attaché Ivan Trujillo said in a press conference that the workshop will be in session for three weeks.
One of its practical exercises will be the restoration of Cuban documentary film collection "Noticiero ICAIC Latinoamericano."
This documentary collection was founded by late Cuban filmmaker Santiago Alvarez, picking up 30 years of the historical memory of Cuba and Latin America, nominated to be a part of the UNESCO World Memory Fund in June this year.
Students will work with part of the Noticiero editions (1960 to 1990) by physical-chemical restoration, manual perforation, among other treatments.
Organized in collaboration with FIAF-Ibermedia School and the Mexican Embassy, the workshop will have professors from France, Britain, Spain and Venezuela, among other countries.
