The company, made up of the Barcelona-based Durero group and Unión Integración Poligráfica de Cuba, produces high-quality containers.

Durero Caribe's main clients are the cigar and pharmaceutical industries, Unión Suchel, Correos de Cuba, Internacional Cubana del Tabaco and Sylvain.

At the end of the first semester of 2008, Durero Caribe's sales totaled 4.66 million Cuban convertible pesos (CUC), 17 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Company executives pointed out that the firm has taken advantage of its installed capacity and there are plans to increase production.
