The cultural project, founded in 1990 by Carlos Alberto Cremata, where children performed for an audience of children and youngsters, was the first group in the Island to receive the title of Goodwill Ambassadors granted by UNICEF.

The fact that Viva Cuba, Cuban film starred by members of La Colmenita, had a recent successful presentation in the first Latin American Film Festival of the Film Museum of Russia, creates special expectation in the audience.

The president of the Russian Theatre Association, Alexandr Kaliaguin, confirmed that over 400 children, ages 8 to 16, coming from 20 countries, will give around 84 shows during the eight days of festival.

The 10th World Festival of Theatre for Children is the first great magnitude action in the State program to support the young audience, sponsored by Russian President, Dmitri Medvedev.
