The movie has won prizes in Germany and internationally, and its Cuban premiere at the Charles Chaplin cinema was met with great enthusiasm.

The audience sympathised with the idea that art feeds the human soul, conveyed through the story of a piano teacher who goes the extra mile to help a talented girl who is in prison for murder.

The line-up also includes "Grave Decisions" by Marcus Hausham Rosenmüller, "The Sleeping Spy" by Benjamin Heisenberg, "Ping-pong" by Matthias Luthardt, "Yearning", "Summer in Berlin", and "Vacations".

The films will tour the Cuban provinces of Sancti Spiritus (July 5-9) and Cienfuegos (July 10-14).

The event is sponsored by the Cuban Film Institute, the Cinemateca de Cuba, the Goethe Institute and the German Embassy.
