Cafe cubano in Spain
Guajiras, trovas, sones and boleros are the rhythms that make up this Café cubano that has arrived in order to complete the success of Cuba, the best selling album of the company and at the same time, in order to unite itself to a special series which has already dealt with the music of the Cafes from France and Italy.

Several of the songs from the album show the influence of the nueva trova movement, where the poetry from the lyrics combines with folkloric traditions, while others are faithful to the guajiras, boleros and sones that sustained the famous recordings of the Buena Vista Social Club.

Legends of Cuban music such as Pedro Luis Ferrer (on stage since the 1960’s), Félix Baloy (leader of the Son 14 band), the tenor Armando Garzón or the veteran from the Buena Vista Mazacote Carrillo, interpret, respectively, the songs Ay, mi vidita, Después de esta noche, Escándalo and Lágrimas Negras.

The album also includes the work of six younger musicians, who play in and outside of Havana, such as Kelvin Ochoa in Fue una de mambo, the band Asere with Corazón or the rural music from Germán Obregón in Pincel Campesino.

The album is completed with the Orquesta mágica de La Habana interpreting Morenita, René Ferrer with Como a cada mañana and José Conde and Ola Fresca with El Chacal.
