Summit on Physical Education Begins in Havana, Cuba
The COC leader said that it is a privilege for Cuba to host this meeting as it recognizes the Caribbean nation’s achievements in this field and that it is an example of sports for all.

He added that specialists attending the event will have the opportunity to strengthen ties and to exchange opinions aiming at promoting physical education and school sports.

Also present in the inaugural session of the meeting were Christian Jimenez, President of the Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), as well as Roberto Leon Richard, Alberto Juantorena and Angel Iglesias, all INDER Vice Presidents.

The First Iberoamerican Summit on Physical Education and School Sports is being attended by some 500 delegates from 32 countries and it will conclude on Saturday, May 31st.
