The local squad opened the score in the very first inning with a run but their lead was short-lived as the visitors scored a four-run rally in the third. Then, the local squad tied the game 4-4 with runs in the third, fifth and sixth frames. However, the visitors sealed the 10-4 score with a six-run rally in the seventh inning off reliever and loser Irandy Castro.
Another reliever, Osmani Tamayo, took the win backed by a 16-hit attack that was led by catcher Rolando Meriño, with three RBIs, and Luis Miguel Nava and Pedro Poll, with two RBIs apiece.
After this result, Santiago leads this best-of-seven series 3-0.
The fourth and maybe last game of the finale takes place on Monday evening in the same venue.
