The poets Alexis Díaz Pimienta, Jorge Oliver and Nelson Simón, as well as the short story teller Teresa Cárdenas, received the laurel in the category of Integral, while the novels Marité y la hormiga loca, by Eldys Baratute; Pon tu mano en la mía, by Jorge Silverio Tejera; Mulato, by Luis Rafael and Alguien viene de la niebla, by Enrique Pérez Díaz, were winning as Best Text.

A wire from the Cuban News Agency points out that Enrique Pérez Díaz also reached the reward with the edition Cuentos a Caballo, together with Yolanda Borlado, with Las islas del mundo and Lilian Sabina, with her title Elpidio Valdés contra dólar y cañón.

The reward in Illustration was reached by Rocney Delgado, with Minifauna; Maritza Miari, with Corazón de libélula, volume that obtained Prize of the Critic 2007 and Vicente Rodríguez Bonachea, with Jardín.
