"The first thing is more than guaranteed; in the programming appear the best creators, either veteran as young. At the same time we will have brilliant visitors", said the president.

Regarding recordings Valdés who has made important contributions to this festival over the last 15 years leading the Organizing Committee, for his huge summoning power, he remembered the last event with his quartet was New Conceptions (Blue Note, 2005).

"Now the important thing is the next album, because well risk more as to make it a lot better, asserted."We are exploring new concepts, because we will never stop exploring the harmonic and rhythmic relationships between the piano and percussion in our format, neither investigating the chances of development of the Cuban music", he highlighted.

"For me, an ideal arrangement to experiment and support discoveries. With Yaroldi Abreu in the tumbadoras, Lazaro Rivero, El Fino, in the double bass and Juan Carlos Rojas, El Peje, in the drums, I have put together a good team. To my satisfaction, in these days my son Jessie has alternated in this last instrument. How will I surrender to routine with these musicians and a lot to come ahead of me?", concluded the famous pianist.
